The LetsVlog Community Group is a not-for-profit organization and consists of video vloggers from all walks of life. We believe that, while vlogging is an art, it is more importantly, a way of expression. Vlogging is a way to share our feelings and views with others.
Welcomed to our site - are people that bring a diverse flavor and a variety of topics to discuss. Our Community consists of amazing, every day people – musicians, artists, writers, and specialists in different fields.
The most common type of vlog that we encourage is the daily vlog – talking to the camera – almost like a video diary. Although creativity and acting sketches and skits are welcomed, our site is focused around the every day ordinary – but always entertaining vlog.
We welcome diversity. Our focus and respect on diversity is most relevant at this time based on learned and past experiences. It is of utmost importance that all of our members feel free and comfortable to express themselves – while keeping the balance of being respectful towards others that may or may not agree with their points of views.
Although we welcome diversity, we also realize that our site is not for everyone. Some may find this site to be boring. Some may find it to be too censored. Admittedly, we are more conservative than most smaller website. Your past affiliations and conduct on the Interwebs do count in allowing you admittance and participation within our community. This is further explained in our Terms Of Use. However, we believe that is a magical essence of Internet life. If this online community does not suit you well - or if you do not suit our vision of community well - there are many other existing sites where you may fit in quite well.
Our initial appearance online, in 2009, was considered a learning experience for the Administration Team. We encourage constructive feedback and not criticism at this time. This is the best way to forge ahead. We have intalled new safeguards and protocols to build on a Community that will thrive. We hope that you join us in our renewed spirit to become the best vlogging, blogging and photo sharing site on the world wide web.
Letsvlog was reinstated, with huge technical updates, a new Administration Team structure, and more capabilities on April 5th, 2010.
To that end, we ask that you join in our efforts to build and maintain a site that does exactly that – regardless of what color, creed, race or persuasion you may happen to be or come from.
On the technical side, the Letsvlog Community site is a proprietary entity. We are not on any shared platform, such as Ning. This enables us to offer customized features. We currently enjoy the support of top-notch experts in the area of website security, coding, codecs, and development.
Our system can currently handle video uploads, photograph uploads, and blogs. Plus, a fully working streaming comments and video response system is in place. Subscribing to videos, adding friends, and blocking members - are some of the other premium functions currently available for your use.
According to most experts, social networking is exploding! We are seeing just the beginning of this incredible trend. The LetsVlog Community Group is the place to be if you're seeking a smaller scale, less commercialized environment than Youtube - but still wish to have the same, advanced capabilities.
