Privacy Policy:

The LetsVlog Community Group takes your privacy very seriously.  The following is our Policy Statement regarding the use of your informationg and how we protect your privacy.

Sign Up Process:

Our sign up process consists of a few steps.  Simply click on "Sign Up" and enter your desired Username and Password.  Also, be sure to review and agree to all of our Terms of Use and policies.  Once you have submitted your information, it will be carefully reviewed by the members of our Administration Team.

The next step in the process could be:

Approval: where you are given full acces to our site.
Denial: where you are notified that your enrollment was not approved.
More Information: where you are asked for more information to proceed.

We use a proven method of considering respective members based on several factors.  One of them is past or recent Internet activity that we may deem appropriate or not appropriate for our site based on our Terms of Service and vision of our community.  This means that not everybody who applies or signs up, gets approved.

The idea behind our enrollment process is not to exclude people - but, rather, to select who would be a good fit for our community.  As a private, online entity and community, we reserve the right to deny anybody membership.  However, please be assured that careful and fair consideration is given to every applicant.

Non-Account Activity:

You can watch videos on LetsVlog.com without having an account (about 3 hours worth of material prior to being required to join).  You may also view photos, profiles and categories.  However, in order to interact with the community ie: post comments, upload your own videos, upload your own photos - you must create a member profile, subject to our Terms of Use policy.

Certain other activities on LetsVlog—like uploading videos, posting comments, flagging videos, or watching restricted videos—require you to have a LetsVlog Account. We ask for some personal information when you create a LetsVlog Account, including your email address and a password, which is used to protect your account from unauthorized access.

We may record information about your usage, such as when you use LetsVlog, the channels, groups, and favorites you subscribe to, the contacts you communicate with, the videos you watch, and the frequency and size of data transfers, as well as information you display or click on in Letsvlog (including UI elements, settings, and other information). If you are logged in, we may associate that information with your account. We may use clear GIFs (a.k.a. Internal Emails

As part of membership, you will get access to send and receive emails via our internal email system.  This system cannot receive emails from outside sources.  It can only be used to send and receive private email notes to other LetsVlog members.  Emails notes sent via our internal system cannot be accessed by the Administration Team - unless another member - recipient - forwards it to the Administration Team for whatever reason.

Internal email notes are archived and eventually purged.  However, they can only be accessed by a special order to the system developer who maintains the database.  The Administration Team cannot and does not routinely access any internal email notes.

Special Account Access

In some instances, such as in the event of trouble shooting technical issues, a member of the Admin Team may request access to your account.  Unless you provide express permission, no member of the Admin Team will access your account.  If you do allow the Admin Team to access your account, your password will be reset.  Nobody has access to your password, except for yourself.

After the troubleshooting has been done, you will be notified by the Admin Team member, that the process is complete and will be given a temporary password - which you can change once you login.  Special account access will be used by the Admin Team to troubleshoot whatever issue is reported and nothing more.  You can choose to deny access to the Admin Team at any time.  However, that may obviously hinder the process of finding a solution to your particular issue.

Anonymous Accounts:

In compliance with our Terms of Use, anonymous accounts are not allowed.  After a one month period of joining LetsVlog, if a user has not uploaded a vlog or greeting to the Community, it will become necessary to verify their identity using an alternate method.  This could be done via a simple Skype call to the Administration Team or a private video greeting.  The sole purpose of this policy is, not to invade your privacy, but verify your identity - at the most basic level.  This will deter sock accounts - duplicate accounts normally used to create discourse in the Community.  None of the information or media you provide during the simple verification process will be shared with the Community and will be kept strictly confidential.

IP Tracking/Recording:

The Letsvlog Community Group actively monitors and records your IP address during the upload of any material: videos, photos, and blogs.  This information is used to identify those who repeatedly violate our Terms of Use - by uploading objectionable material - or by attempting to create duplicate (sock) accounts.  Repeated uploads of unacceptable material will be follow-up and addressed on a case by case basis.  The creation of sock accounts will lead to the termination of both accounts in question.  Our back end smart engine is, further, able to spot proxies (fake IP addresses).  As stated in our Terms of Service, attempting to block your IP address, electronically or otherwise, will lead to immediate termination of your account.
